19th Century Victorian Silver Monteith bowl, exceptionally large and magnificent, raised on a circular foot, fluted body, applied cast rim and lion's masks with hanging handles. The piece is outstanding and features an incredibly crisp and decorative decoration, one side bearing scroll cartouche centered with a vacant oval.
Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1859 (d), Maker's mark E&BS Ld for Edward Barnard & Son Ltd.
