ANTIQUE 20thC GOYARD COURIER TRUNK IN CHEVRON PATERN, PARIS c.1900

DESCRIPTION
A Goyard courier trunk, completely original and with great character. Dating to the early part of the 20th century (circa 1900/1910) this trunk was finished with the famous chevron canvas and oozes character. A wonderful way of bringing a touch of high class fashion to any room.
Over recent years the brand has been relaunched and has taken the world of fashion by storm. The original E. Goyard firm was a trunk maker which rivalled Louis Vuitton and the trunks it made at the time ooze the same quality and finesse as its (now) more famous competitor. This is a chance to own one of the best trunks available on the market both in terms of rarity and condition.
CONDITION
In Great Condition - good overall vintage condition. The chevron pattern has come away on parts where travel stickers used to be, mostly noticeable on the top of the trunk. The trunk has also taken a severe knock to the lower front left hand side, however it is barely noticeable when the trunk is standing upright and is not damaged structurally in any way.
