Tunbridge Wells Rugby Club Fundraiser

Pushkin Antiques is proud to support Tunbridge Wells Rugby Club in several ways. Most recently, we donated a James Bond poster for auction at the club's annual gala celebration. We believe in contributing to the club's success and aim to make a positive difference and promote generosity within our community.

Pushkin Antiques Christmas Auction raises over £13,000 for charity!

The Pushkin Antiques team was joined by local community members, business owners and the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 26th November at their Christmas Charity Auction in support of local charity, Mental Health Resource.

The evening raised over £13,000 for the mental health charity, with guests able to enjoy canapes from Casa da Claudia and cocktails from Mixologist Nebojsa Kutlesic.

The auction itself was led by auctioneer & valuer Joseph Trinder of Gorringe’s, who brought auction theatrics and humour to the evening. Guests were invited to bid on lots ranging from a Private Box at Ascot, lunch at the Warren, a weekend stay in Brighton, a bespoke piece of graffiti artwork by Humor, a signed limited edition Pele print and more.

Those who generously donated auction prizes for the evening include Sankeys, Humor, Tom John Tudor-Pole, Hana & Steve Wynne, Gallagher, LagoDiComo Bar and Restaurant, The Warren, The Ivy, Castle Fine Art, Dylan Miles Ltd, Founder of The Big Chat/ Chatty Hatter PR Nicole Piesse Turner and Pushkin Antiques.

Alex Pushkin, Founder of Pushkin Antiques, located in the High Street, Tunbridge Wells, says, “As well as having a great evening, we can proudly say the auction was a huge success and we’re so grateful to everyone who came along and supported this important fundraising event.”

Jen Williams, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Mental Health Resource, says “Alex, Olga and Joseph have worked so hard to raise the profile of our charity and every donation made on the night will directly support wellbeing in our community.”

Fundraising Evening & Charity Auction for Ukrainian refugees

More than £11,000 was raised for Ukraine causes last weekend, in an auction which saw a number of bidders re-submit the lot they had just won so it could be re-auctioned.

Organising the event on Saturday evening, Pushkin Antiques handed the hammer to Joseph Trinder of Gorringes Auctions & Valuations, who "did an outstanding job and helped to achieve prices we couldn't have imagined in our wildest dreams.'

"A 007 James Bond poster achieved £800 and then (was) kindly re-offered by the buyer into the sale again and then sold for £900, added Mr Pushkin.

Meanwhile, another bidder offered a last-minute lot, added Pushkin. Donated "At the end of the auction one of the bidders offered two tickets for his box at Ascot Racecourse. "This desirable lot (went) galloping away for £1,200," quipped the antique dealer.

Other notable lots included contributions by The Pantiles Arcade - tea with antiques expert Eric Knowles, two tickets to their forthcoming talk and a fabulous book on art glass - fetching £300.

The Warren Restaurant donated two lunches for two, with aperitifs, earning the charities £140 and £160, respectively.

A Kate Spade lamp, donated by designer lighting shop Lumière brought in £120.

"We will personally oversee that the funds go directly to people who need it most and we will keep you updated with stories of families we will be directly helping” said Mr Pushkin.

NHS Charities Together

In the wake of the crisis we’re facing right now, we have decided to donate 5% of the proceeds of each sale on behalf of our customers to help our heroes battling this outbreak on the frontlines of the NHS.

Please feel free to make a donation as well, no purchase necessary.

Thank you for your support.

Make-A-Wish

Make-A-Wish® UK grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles.

This cause is close to heart, as a father of two young kids, I know first-hand how precious their early childhood memories are and how they will shape them into responsible human beings.

Throughout the year the Pushkin Antiques team will be committed in finding ways to raise money towards this noble cause and hopes you will join us in our efforts.

Thank you for your support.
