With the simplest of movements this chair transform from a comfortable reading chair to a lovely set of library steps. A curious dual use object which is as functional today as it was in the Victorian/Edwardian era, this is a wonderful conversation item that helps the user to reach up for the highest bookshelf or cupboard without the inconvenience of having to fetch for a separate set of steps.
