DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Victorian very unusual umbrella and walking stick stand fashioned from antler horns. Such items are usually from the Swiss / German borders (the Black Forest) and were a fashionable home decoration accessory in the latter part of the 19th century. Much of this type of furniture was naively made, its appeal derived the the peculiarity of the antler horn meshed with the functionality of the item of furniture. They would adorn humble lodges as well as stately homes.
