DESCRIPTION

A large model of a Smith & Wesson Model 29, a double-action revolver, features a six-round capacity and is chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge. This esteemed firearm is proudly manufactured by the United States-based company Smith & Wesson.

The Model 29 is available in a range of standard barrel lengths, including 3, 4, 5, 6, 6+1⁄2, 8+3⁄8, and 10+5⁄8 inches (76, 102, 127, 152, 165, 213, and 270 mm). For those seeking customization, alternative barrel lengths can be obtained through Smith & Wesson's Custom Shop or handcrafted by skilled gunsmiths. The 5-inch (130 mm) barrel variant boasts a full-length underlug. Buyers can select from a choice of finish options, which encompass a meticulously polished blued or nickel-plated surface.

Upon its initial release, the Model 29 held the distinction of being the most potent production handgun, although it was eventually surpassed by firearms chambered for the even larger .454 Casull and .50 Action Express cartridges. This revolver gained worldwide fame due to its association with the fictional character "Dirty Harry" Callahan.
