20th Century Austro-Hungarian silver and enamel chess set, richly gilt, the two Medieval armies are also richly gilt and enamelled in deep and pale blue, the hinged top opening to reveal a velvet lined inteior fitted for storage, the sides are applied with gilt mounts framing enamel plaques depicting ships and with cabochon accents. Hallmarked "925".

Stunning 20th Century Austro-Hungarian solid silver and enamel chess set, richly gilt, the two Medieval armies are also richly gilt and enamelled in deep and pale blue, the hinged top opening to reveal a velvet lined inteior fitted for storage, the sides are applied with gilt mounts framing enamel plaques depicting ships and with cabochon accents. The frame is Hallmarked "925" (925 silver standard), the set is typically Austrian or Hungarian.
