Stunning quality, parcel gilt, the cover is enamelled with an erotic scene depicting Leda and the Swan, a mythological scene in which Zeus, in the form of a swan, seduces Leda; this is an erotic subject very popular and represented by famous painters like Leonardo, Michelangelo and Rubens.
Hallmarked Austrian Silver (800), made in 1910's, Maker's mark "FB".

Stunning quality, parcel gilt, the cover is enamelled with an erotic scene depicting Leda and the Swan, a mythological scene in which Zeus, in the form of a swan, seduces Leda; this is an erotic subject very popular and represented by famous painters like Leonardo, Michelangelo and Rubens (follow this link).
Very high quality of the workmanship and incredibly well painted. The hinge is tight and clasp is very strong, clicks when shut. Hallmarked Austrian Silver on both sides (800 Standard), made in 1910's, Maker's mark "FB" (Unknown to me).
CONDITION
In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
