19th Century Continental silver & hand-painted enamel jewellery box, of plain rectangular form, body and hinged cover hand-painted depicting an exceptionally well-painted Romantic scene: a lady dressed in 18th century clothes being swung by a servant and her admirer beneath her feet, in beautiful natural surroundings, the side panels painted with miniature landscapes, applied with vibrant green and gold panels. Hallmarked with a silver mark (925), Makers Mark EB.

Antique late 19th Century Continental solid silver & hand-painted enamel jewellery box, of plain rectangular form, body and hinged cover hand-painted depicting an exceptionally well-painted Romantic scene: a lady dressed in 18th century clothes being swung by a servant and her admirer beneath her feet, in beautiful natural surroundings, the side panels painted with miniature landscapes, applied with vibrant green and gold panels.
Such enamelled items are generally Austrian, the base is hallmarked with a silver mark (925 standard), Makers Mark EB (unknown to me), the box dates to the 1890's.

In Great Condition - no damage.
