19th Century Austrian rock crystal and enamelled on silver-gilt drageoir on stand, the oval bulbous bowl, cover and dish carved in relief with leaves and scrolls within narrow silver-gilt borders decorated in polychrome champlevé enamels, the ring finial and handles formed as winged caryatids also picked out in enamel.

Antique 19th Century Austrian rock crystal and enamelled on solid silver-gilt drageoir on stand, the oval bulbous bowl, cover and dish carved in relief with leaves and scrolls within narrow silver-gilt borders decorated in polychrome champlevé enamels, the ring finial and handles formed as winged caryatids also picked out in enamel.
The piece is Hallmarked Austrian silver (900+ standard), town mark "A" for Vienna, standard mark (used post-1872), Maker's mark "HR" (Hermann Ratzersdorfer, one of the greatest Austrian enamelist).
CONDITION
Minor enamel losses and small chips to the rock crystal on the inside of the lid.
