19th Century Austrian rock crystal, enamelled and silver mounted bowl on stand, the oval rock crystal bowl, carved in relief with leaves and scrolls within silver-gilt borders decorated with hand painted enamels depicting romantic and mythological scenes within landscape, the support modelled as a stork, a symbol of good fortune and fertility. The piece is unmarked, but tested silver (900+ standard), Vienna, attributed to Hermann Ratzersdorfer.
