Antique 20th Century genuine and superb Louis Vuitton hat box, large size, rare orange Vuittonite leather, leather and brass bound, with leather handle on top, interior lined with cream canvas and fitted with a removable compartment, signed brass hardware and numbered lock.
The sides are stamped with the original owner's initials "MFP". The present hat box in orange Vuittonite leather is very rare and sought after, a collector's must have.
Brand tag on the internal side of the cover reading "Louis Vuitton Paris 70 Champs Elysees, 149 New Bond St London...", serial number "764802", the piece dates to year 1930's. The lock is numbered "058037".
