20th Century Louis Vuitton car trunk covered in black Vuittonite canvas. Car trunks were usually bespoke made for the owner’s car and would ordinarily be positioned inside the boot of the vehicle or strapped to the back of the vehicle. As such, no two are the same, each one with slight variations.

DESCRIPTION
Antique 20th Century large and very rare Louis Vuitton car trunk covered in black Vuittonite canvas. Car trunks were usually bespoke made for the owner’s car and would ordinarily be positioned inside the boot of the vehicle or strapped to the back of the vehicle. As such, no two are the same, each one with slight variations. This one is particularly large, with a side opening mechanism that reveals a compartment for two suitcases that slide out (one missing). Complete with all its hardware and rivets stamped Louis Vuitton, it is a great coffee table size but could also be placed in a corner of a room as a bar or at the foot of the bed to store blankets. It’s a wonderful conversation piece, very elegant and understated.
