He has many notable achievements in both architecture and design and worked with important names such as Olivetti, Knoll, Memphis, Poltronova, Alessi, Venini. He also designed famous building such as Malpensa Airport in Milan, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ravenna, the Alessi store in Milan to name but a few. Sottsass created a vast body of work: furniture, jewellery, ceramics, glass, silver work, lighting, office machine design and buildings. He inspired generations of architects and designers.
