A lovely “abat jour” or lamp fashioned from an ostrich egg by the world renowned designer Tommaso Barbi, circa 1960. Tommaso Barbi was a prominent Italian artist and designer of the mid to late 20th century. This lamp is a rare design which perfectly exemplifies his work, mixing mid century modernism and functionality with inspirations from the natural world.
