The base is Hallmarked Sterling, these marks are used primary in during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and makers mark Kuhn & Komor.

Antique early 20th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver bowl, double walled, densely chased and embossed with blossoming irises on matted hand hammered ground, shaped floral rim and standing on a round shaped base. The base is Hallmarked Sterling, (used on items made for export, 925 standard), these marks are used primary in during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and makers mark Kuhn & Komor (also known colloquially as K&K, was a Hungarian multinational luxury jewelry and specialty retailer, having headquarters in Yokohama, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
