20th Century Persian wall plaque / sideboard dish, of rectangular form with rounded corners, profusely repousse' decorated with various scenes depicting war and peace surrounded by scrolling foliage and stylized flowers, the border is also chased with animals and figures.
The chasing is very fine, typically from Isfahan, the front bears an inscription in Farsi, it dates to the first half of the 20th century.
