20th Century Renaissance-style German Silver-gilt steeple cup and cover, exceptionally large, the design derived from the German standing cups crafted in Nuremberg in the 16th / 17th century. The tall cup rests on a domed lobed foot, baluster stem flanked by scrolls, the large body also lobed and applied with stylized foliage, pull-off cover featuring the same decoration surmounted by a large figural finial depicting cupid. Hallmarked with pseudo-marks for German silver made in Hanau, maker unknown to me, 800+ silver standard.

Antique 20th Century rare and impressively large Renaissance-style German Solid Silver-gilt steeple cup and cover, exceptionally large (80 cm tall), the design derived from the German standing cups crafted in Nuremberg in the 16th / 17th century. The tall cup rests on a domed lobed foot, baluster stem flanked by scrolls, the large body also lobed and applied with stylized foliage, pull-off cover featuring the same decoration surmounted by a large figural finial depicting cupid.
The piece is Hallmarked with pseudo-marks for German silver made in Hanau, maker unknown to me, acid tested it shows a 800+ silver standard, dating to the 1900-10's.

In Great Condition - No damage, just general wear.
