DESCRIPTION
Antique early-20th Century German Hanau Solid Silver table ornament modelled as a large hen with two chicks on a domed base, very well made in every small detail, removable head. Table ornaments finely modelled like birs are a speciality of German silver made in Hanau and are very sought after.
The base bears Maker's marks for Neresheimer & Sohne, the greatest German silversmith active in Hanau in the late 19th - early 20th Century, the piece is further stamped with English import silver marks (925 standard), Chester, year 1902 (B), Importer's mark BM (Berthold Muller).
CONDITION
In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
