20th Century German silver model of a galleon ship, commonly referred to as a "Neff" made in the style of the 15th-16th Century example, impressively large, very heavy gauge and very detailed. The three-masted galleon with pierced gallery and crew on board deck and in crows nests. The hull decorated in relief and applied with grotesque birds, cannons and anchors, the hull supported by a detachable stand on wheals.
Hallmarked with German silver pseudo mark (maker unknown), small French silver guarantee mark (weevil, used 1838-present).
