Each clasp is set with rubies cabochons and the eyes are set with navette-shaped cut rubies. Hallmarked German silver (900), Maker's mark LK for Louis Kuppenheim.

Hallmarked German silver (900 standard, very high silver purity), Maker's mark LK (Louis Kuppenheim, important jeweller and silversmith, very sought after, please follow this link to a similar piece sold in Christie's). It dates to year 1910-1920.
