Antique 19th Century pair of Continental Solid Silver mounted wine claret jugs, each particularly large size, each glass body beautifully etched with scrolls and floral vases, silver mounted with Renaissance-style decorations in relief, cast handle featuring a mask, each hinged lid is topped with a cast finial modelled like a cherub holding a cup.
The two claret jugs are typically German, one bearing an Austro-Hungarian Empire import mark. The silver has been tested and shows 800+ standard, the pair dates to 1890's.
