Antique 19th Century rare German Solid Silver Renaissance revival figural centerpiece, massive size, shell-shaped, one side is applied with a magnificent cast figure modelled like Triton holding a fish and a trident, all supported by a large dolphin flanked by a naked Cupid over a circular base resting on four cast feet terminating with leonine heads.
This is a superb and impressive centerpiece, exceptionally crisp and detailed workmanship. The piece is Hallmarked German silver (800 standard), Heilbronn, year 1890's, Maker's mark Peter Bruchmann & Sohne, important company founded in 1805 by Georg Peter Bruckmann, one of the most important German silver manufacturer, often working in the style of the early German pieces.
