19th Century German Solid Silver & Glass pair of large and decorative Wine Claret jugs, each baluster form glass body beautifully etched with a foliate scroll decoration, mounted with a silver collar chased with masks, ribbons and shields, figural handle. Each hinged lid has a nice cast shaped finial and opens squeezing the handle trigger.

Antique 19th Century German Solid Silver & Glass pair of large and decorative Wine Claret jugs, each baluster form glass body beautifully etched with a foliate scroll decoration, mounted with a silver collar chased with masks, ribbons and shields, figural handle. Each hinged lid has a nice cast shaped finial and opens squeezing the handle trigger. Hallmarked German "800" silver, but each silver mount has been acid tested and shows a 800 silver purity. The pair dates to the 1890's.
