DESCRIPTION
Antique 19thC Victorian Demi lune leather trunk once used for coach travel but repurposed in the Edwardian era as a highly decorative piece, with the addition of a beautifully painted hunting scene in the English countryside in oils around the body of the trunk and on top a piece of glass was added for protection and an ornate stand to give more height.
Altogether a fabulous piece of history, Trunk dates to circa 1880 and the mahogany stand circa 1920.
CONDITION
In Good Condition - wear as expected, some staining to the interior, missing the inner lift-out tray and lock key, good overall vintage condition. Please refer to photographs.
