Antique late-19th Century Norwegian solid silver & cloisonneé-enamel tea service on tray, comprised of a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, cream jug and six cups with saucers on a large serving tray, decorated with blue turquoise enamel on wirework floral scrolls, with white beaded boarders on matted silver ground.

Hallmarked Norwegian silver 930 (930 standard), Bergen, Maker's mark for Marius Hammer (Studied in Hamburg and Berlin before extablishing his own workshop in Bergen in 1871, making a wide range of tableware and cutlery, as well as jewellery. From around 1880 he specialised in modern versions of traditional Norwegian jewellery as well as plique-à-jour enamel work)
