Stunning and impressive 20th Century Italian Solid Silver ewer on a basin stand, magnificent and massive, extremely heavy gauge (7350 grams of solid silver), profusely and beautifully chased and embossed in the Renaissance style, with scrolling leaves, dolphins, ram's heads, blooming vases, the front is applied with a large and detailed mask, huge cast handle, both the body and the basin are applied with four oval malachite plaques.
This is one of the largest and most magnificent centerpieces in the form of a 16th Century Italian ewer.
The ewer's base is Hallmarked Italian silver (800 standard), Maker's mark very rubbed and impossible to read, the piece is also stamped with the retailer's mark, city of Bari, and further stamped "lavorato a mano" (hand-crafted), it dates to 1950's.
CONDITION
In Great condition - Just general wear and barely visible hairline cracks to one malachite plaque.
