The quality of the sculptures is very fine, heavy and well modelled, made by one of the greatest Italian silversmiths of the early 20th Century. All figures signed E.Avolio (Eugenio Avolio, Naples, active 1876-1930), a very important silversmith specializing in impressive sculptural pieces inspired to Classical art. His pieces are rarely hallmarked.
