19th Century Continental Silver tazza, beautifully modelled in the 16th Century style, profusely decorated in relief with flowers, fruit and masks, the bowl featuring an exceptional battle scene in relief. Comes in its original presentation box, and with a French invitation to the Capitaine S.A. Bilte, dating to 1894. The piece also comes with a later receipt by "J. TOSTRUP", an important Swedish silversmith, jeweller and luxury retailer.

Antique late 19th Century Continental Solid Silver tazza, beautifully modelled in the 16th Century style, profusely decorated in relief with flowers, fruit and masks, the bowl featuring an exceptional battle scene in relief. The design is typically of the Renaissance, and is probably a copy of a museum piece, Dutch or German. The piece is unmarked, as probably made on commission (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard), it comes in its original presentation box, and with a French invitation to the Capitaine S.A. Bilte, dating to 1894 (the tazza is a presentation piece for the celebration of the 200th voyage of the capitain). The piece also comes with a later receipt by "J. TOSTRUP", an important Swedish silversmith, jeweller and luxury retailer.
