Antique 19th Century rare Chinese solid silver brush case, elongated pebble shaped, decorated in repousse' high relief, on very finely tooled matted ground, depicting various calligraphy brushes, suggesting the cases purpose. The case is of heavy gauge and very well crafted. Unmarked (tested 900+ standard), undoubtedly made by a fine silversmith for the Chinese market.
