19th Century Victorian Silver large wine ewer, of baluster form, the body is intricately engraved with scrolls, stunning cast snake-tail shaped handle, hinged parcel gilt lid surmounted by a cast finial. The front bears a memorial inscription "Presented to David Rollo Esq., by the members of the Bonnetmaker Trade (...) 1863". Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1862 (g), Maker's mark RH for Robert Hennell III.

Antique mid-19th Century Victorian Solid Silver large wine ewer, of baluster form, the body is intricately engraved with scrolls, stunning cast snake-tail shaped handle, hinged parcel gilt lid surmounted by a cast finial. The front bears a memorial inscription "Presented to David Rollo Esq., by the members of the Bonnetmaker Trade (...) 1863". Exceptional piece, magnificent and very decorative. Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1862 (g), Maker's mark RH (Robert Hennell III, great silversmith).
