19th Century Victorian Silver and cut-glass wine claret jug, lovely organic design, the baluster body featuring a hobnail-cut design, the solid silver collar is cast with an excaptional naturalistic design featuring grapevine in relief, cast handle modelled as a grapevine branch, the hinged lid surmounted by a bunch of grapes finial. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1871 (W), Maker's mark HW for Horace Woodward & Co.

Antique 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver and cut-glass wine claret jug, lovely organic design, the baluster body featuring a hobnail-cut design, the solid silver collar is cast with an excaptional naturalistic design featuring grapevine in relief, cast handle modelled as a grapevine branch, the hinged lid surmounted by a bunch of grapes finial.
This is a particularly decorative and magnificent jug, the neck featuring a shield engraved with initials.

Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1871 (W), Maker's mark HW (Horace Woodward & Co).

CONDITION

In Great Condition - No damage, just general wear.
