ANTIQUE 19thC REGENCY SOLID SILVER LARGE SNUFF BOX, NATHANIEL MILLS c.1832
Antique 19th Century Regency solid silver table snuff box, particularly large size, of rectangular form, the cushioned sides are beautifully chased with a floral decoration in relief, the cover applied with cast scrolls and floral border and scroll thumb-piece, the lid and base is engine-turned, richly gilt throughout. The cover engraved with a family crest, inside engraved "Presented to Capt James Murray by the officers & NCOs of the Trafford Volunteers June 1845,"
Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), Birmingham, year 1832 (J), Maker's mark N.M for Nathaniel Mills.
