19th Century Victorian Silver pear-shaped teapot, extremely rare design in the style of the Dutch painter David Teniers, the body and the lid are profusely embossed and applied with tavern scenes. The hinged lid terminates with a cast figure sit on a beer barrel.

Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1845 (K), Maker's mark EF for Edward Farrell.

Antique 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver pear-shaped teapot, extremely rare design in the style of the Dutch painter David Teniers, the body and the lid are profusely embossed and applied with tavern scenes. The hinged lid terminates with a cast figure sit on a beer barrel. Very decorative piece, a very similar teapot by the same silversmith is in the Victoria & Albert Museum (please follow this link). All parts Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1845 (K), Maker's mark EF (Edward Farrell, very fine silversmith).
