19th Century Victorian Silver Armada bowl, parcel gilt, large size, the body is profusely chased and embossed with a crisp floral decoration, each side features cast applied projecting angels either side of a vacant cartouche, cast applied lion's masks with hanging handles, extremely realistically modelled and hallmarked. Hallmarked English Silver (925), London, year 1899 (d), Maker's mark J.H for Job Frank Hall, for Sibray, Hall & Co.

DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver Armada bowl, parcel gilt, large size, the body is profusely chased and embossed with a crisp floral decoration, each side features cast applied projecting angels either side of a vacant cartouche, cast applied lion's masks with hanging handles, extremely realistically modelled and hallmarked. The piece is outstanding and features an incredibly crisp and decorative decoration.

Bowl and handles are Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1899 (d), Maker's mark J.H (Job Frank Hall, for Sibray, Hall & Co, important silversmiths).
