19th Century Irish Victorian Silver wine ewer, extremely heavy and decorative, of inverted baluster form, the body is chased with a Rococo style floral decoration, large cast handle modelled as a sea monster, the hinged cover surmounted by a shell finial. Hallmarked Irish Silver (925), Dublin, year 1846 (a), Maker's mark JM for James Moore.

The silver is Hallmarked Irish Silver (925 Standard), Dublin, year 1846 (a), Maker's mark JM (James Moore).
