18th Century Georgian Silver tea caddy, of cube form, the hinged cover mounted with a cast floral finial, the body hand engraved on each side with Chinese figures in a landscape, the front bearing a vancant shield-shaped cartouche surrounded by trees. The piece is particularly rare as features the original Rococo period "Chinoiserie" style decoration. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1776 (a), Maker's mark EC for Edward Cooper.

Antique 18th Century extremely rare Georgian Solid Silver tea caddy, of cube form, the hinged cover mounted with a cast floral finial, the body hand engraved on each side with Chinese figures in a landscape, the front bearing a vancant shield-shaped cartouche surrounded by trees. The engraving is extraordinarily detailed and well refined, the piece is particularly rare as features the original Rococo period "Chinoiserie" style decoration. Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1776 (a), Maker's mark EC (Edward Cooper, great silversmith).
