Antique 18th Century Georgian solid silver lidded tankard, the domed lid is applied with a cast thumb-piece, the scrolled handle terminating in a scripture. The tankard features a bellied body on a flared foot, the sides smooth with a reeded band above the belly. Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, year 1776 (a), Makers mark RM&RC (Robert Makepeace & Richard Carter).
