19th Century Victorian Silver two-handled tray, exceptionally large, decorative and heavy, of shaped oval form, the borders are chased with scrolling foliage and flowers, applied gadrooned rim and handles, the centre is profusely chased and engraved with flowers and scrolling foliage.
Hallmarked English Silver (925), Sheffield, year 1897 (e), Maker's mark M BROS for Mappin Brothers.

Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), Sheffield, year 1897 (e), Maker's mark M BROS (Mappin Brothers), the tray is further stamped with retailer's mark and serial number for Mappin Brothers.
