19th Century early Victorian Silver Soup Tureen and Cover, impressively large and exceptionally heavy, oval form on four cast gigantic feet with foliage acanthus joints, cast handles, large applied border, the domed cover with conforming decoration. Hallmarked English Silver (925), Birmingham, year 1840 (R), Maker's mark R.E.A. for Robinson, Edkins & Aston.
