19th Century Continental silver & hand-painted enamel jewellery box, of plain rectangular form, body and hinged cover hand-painted depicting an exceptionally well-painted Romantic scene: a lady dressed in 18th century clothes being swung by a servant and her admirer beneath her feet, in beautiful natural surroundings, the side panels painted with miniature landscapes, applied with vibrant green and gold panels. Hallmarked with a silver mark (925), Makers Mark EB.

Such enamelled items are generally Austrian, the base is hallmarked with a silver mark (925 standard), Makers Mark EB (unknown to me), the box dates to the 1890's.

In Great Condition - no damage.
